GMTV has terminated its contract with the company which provided its phone-in competition service.

The broadcaster said it had taken the decision following “irregularities” in the system Opera Interactive Technology was operating.

GMTV has been forced to deny claims that tens of thousands of people who made calls or sent texts to its competitions had no chance of winning.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s Valentine’s Day. If you’re anything like me, you’ve about had your fill of stuffed bears, those BEMINE!!! hearts candies (hot damn, those are good), diamond commercials and cheesy Peabo and Celine songs on the radio. It’s not hard to find “The Ten Hottest Couples on TV” lists pretty much anywhere, but since I’m single and bitter like that, I’m gonna do something different here, and celebrate the ten coolest friendships on TV right now. Friends get you through the times without the diamonds and BEMINE hearts, you know?

So, recently I wrote a couple of posts about on-line TV and my frustration with the current options available to us lowly consumers. I mentioned that while there was alot of great content out there, and that there was some solid technology to view it, both need to come up a notch as the tech still needs work and there still isn’t A+ content available free and legally for online watchers through the existing chanels.
